Meet Laurie Stroupe, Proprietor

In 1978, I was just getting ready to set up housekeeping for the very first time.  A dear friend gave me a gift that I have to this day - a piece of depression glass from her collection.  It was a cobalt blue bud vase. 

 

I immediately fell in love with the beautiful color and the simple, yet stunning design. 

 

That love affair continues today.  Cobalt is still my favorite glass and I suspect that it will continue to be for the rest of my life.  My own collection includes modern cobalt blue glass pieces as well as collectible cobalt blue glass.

 

In 2008, I decided to start a business selling items on the internet.  I knew that it had to be something that I loved.  The answer was a simple one:  cobalt glass, a timeless beauty.

 

In 2010, I decided to pursue a full-time career in education so I am closing Laurie's Cobalt World.  We will be online until the majority of our inventory is sold.  We will place special orders if you wish to purchase $200 or more from Mosser Glass (including colors other than cobalt).
