Mosser Glass Inverted Thistle Pattern
Handmade Glass From Mosser Glass
All of these glass pieces are handmade American glass produced by Mosser Glass, a 37-year-old glass company with an even longer history. The founder of Mosser glass got his start in the Cambridge Glass company, which closed in 1954.
In 1959, Thomas Mosser began making glass in an abandoned chicken coop. Two years later, he was able to move out and form Variety Glass, which produced glassware for the pharmaceutical industry.
Mosser Glass was formed in 1971. Some of the product lines were newly created while some have their roots in Viking, L.G. Wright, and Cambridge Glass.
"Inverted Thistle" is just one of many patterns made by Mosser Glass today. Laurie's Cobalt World also carries the Nicole Pattern, Queen Pattern (also called Button & Daisy), and the Elizabeth Pattern.
